For LGBTQ+ Parents

Updated: Jul 10, 2023

This is a selection of helpful resources for you if you belong to the queer community and are expecting or already have a baby. Most resources are specific to the Hanau, Frankfurt, and Rhein-Main region.

As a birth and postpartum doula and supportive ally, I want you to have access to as many resources as possible throughout this phase of life. The world of pregnancy, birth, and family is mostly very heteronormative and gendered, and it can be challenging to find support and care that you feel comfortable with. Ideally you will be able to find support from others who have some of the same lived experiences as you. My natural empathy alongside my commitment to learning and listening means I could also be the “safe space” you need.
